Ben Thorp Brown

Ben Thorp Brown is an artist living and working in New York. Much of his work is made with video, performance, and sculptural installation, and involves embedded research and collaboration with a range of participants. He has exhibited recent work in The Whitney Museum's Dreamlands: Immersive Cinema and Art, 1905-2016, MoMA PS1's Greater New York, The Vienna Biennale 24/7 the human condition, and Chance Motives SculptureCenter. He has participated in residencies through the Lower Manhattan Cultural Council's Workspace program and at the Chinati Foundation in Marfa, TX. He received a B.A. from Williams College, an M.F.A. from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, and attended the Whitney Museum Independent Study Program.
