Black X presents rarely seen and compelling films by black filmmakers working in experimental styles, representing an uncompromised and revolutionary commentary on the cinema and black identity. The screening begins at 3:00pm, followed by a discussion with the artists at 5:00pm and a reception at 6:00pm. 2005 Film/Video grantee Ina Archer will screen two short videos, RW (2004) and Hattie McDaniel (2002). Cauleen Smith, a 2008 Film/Video grantee, will screen her groundbreaking science fiction allegory, The Fullness of Time (2008).
