Dao Strom with She Who Has No Master(s) presents a Collective Reading at the American Library in Paris

Dao Strom appears with "She Who Has No Master(s)", a collective of Vietnamese women writers, to present collaborative poetry/hybrid literature at the American Library in Paris. The presentation will showcase the voices of nine women writers of the Vietnamese diaspora, now located in the U.S., Canada and France, coming together here to read new work from a collective project exploring themes of displacement, silence, memory and trauma, repercussions of war and colonialism. She Who Has No Master(s) is a writing collective consisting of acclaimed and award-winning authors and academics, and encompassing a range of literary disciplines, including fiction, poetry, nonfiction, performance, and criticism; the collective is a project of DVAN (Diasporic Vietnamese Artists Network).

Presenting writers: Angie Chau, Lan Duong, Hoa Nguyen, Thao P. Nguyen, Isabelle Thuy Pelaud, Aimee Phan, Dao Strom, Julie Thi Underhill, and Anna Moi. 

The event will be introduced by 2016 Pulitzer Prize winner, Viet Thanh Nguyen.
