Vacant America

Klip Collective

Vacant America is a meditative series of video projections uncovering visual residues and physical memories from America’s forgotten spaces. The projections on vacant structures seek to provoke dialogue regarding the impacts of our human geography on the past, present, and future of our finite landscape. The visual shorts are powered by a collection of user-submitted stories about vacant places. Vacant America will live as an online, interactive resource of audio files, visual content and documentation. The Klip Collective also envisions alternate modes of presentation, including a documentary film, published book and physical installation in gallery and museum spaces.
