Vanalyne Green

Vanalyne Green has been creating video documentaries since 1990. They have been screened at the Museum of Modern Art, The Hara Museum of Contemporary Art in Tokyo, The Southern Circuit Tour, the Worldwide Video Festival in Holland, and the Berlin Film Festival. Her awards include fellowships from the Guggenheim Foundation, the National Endowment for the Arts, The New York Foundation for the Arts, The New York State Council on the Arts, and a Richard H. Driehaus Individual Artists Award. Green is an associate professor at the Chicago Art Institute and has guest lectured at many institutions, including the Valand School of Fine Arts in Sweden and Temple University in Philadelphia.

Awards and Accomplishments

2007: Green receives a three-year, $750,000 Arts and Humanities Research Grant for an interdisciplinary project about citizenship and voting

2002: Green receives the Rome Prize from the American Academy in Rome
