Heidi Latsky, alumnus of the Bill T. Jones/Arnie Zane Dance Company, continues its legacy of pushing boundaries and celebrating diference during a festival at Baruch’s Performing Arts Center that commemorates the 30th anniversary of the company. The two pieces that she’s presenting on June 25 at 7:30pm, 27 and 28 at 7:00pm, are architectural, visceral and explosive, and together form an evening of grace and grit. SOLO COUNTERSOLO features Latsky as the counterpoint to the ensemble, weaving through a landscape of vigorously moving bodies to original music by Chris Brierley. SOMEWHERE is set to wildly eclectic renditions of “Over the Rainbow,” using this iconic song to frame a series of intimate movement portraits that highlight the luminout appeal of the divere performers.

Tickets, which are $15 for each performance, $14 for seniors/students/children under 12, with festival packages available, can be  purchased through BPAC.  A trailer of the performance may be viewed on the Heidi Latsky Dance home page.
