Moderated by:

AskSeanAtCC: Sean Elwood, Director of Grantmaking and Artist Services.

CreativeCapApp: Kemi Ilesanmi, Program Coordinator for Grantmaking & Artist Service Associate

______________________________________________________________

CreativeCapApp: Welcome to the Creative Capital online chat. Let us know what questions you have, please

musicjoe745: I am moving overseas in the next two months but my address will be US local until June. How should i fill out my application?

CreativeCapApp: musicjoe: as long as you are a US citizen or permanent resident, yes you can apply even if you live overseas. Us your current US address at the inquiry stage. You will be given a chance to update if you advance to the application stage this summer.

Zeppobank: my art is functional objects in storefronts . is that sculpture installation or interdiscipilinary?

AskSeanAtCC: zeppobank- Installation

Cevicheinmytummy: i was not able to attend the information session yet have read all the materials thoroughly; is there anything critical that I missed aside from going through the steps with a human?

AskSeanAtCC: cevicheinmytummy - No

roadrojo: What exactly does this mean: What non-monetary resources do you need to realize this project?

AskSeanAtCC: roadrojo - in kind supprt. It also refers to the kind of advice and resources connections that will be needed.

AvivaGhos: practical Question: is the character count related to the word count?

CreativeCapApp: aviva: yes we estimate about 8 characters per word, including spaces and articles (a, the, of, etc).

AvivaGhos: thx and how long should the opening sentence be?

CreativeCapApp: aviva: do you mean one-sentence description? If yes, 50 words or less.

sydneycooper@mac.com: In the work experience section how much experience do you want- and is this non-art work experience?

CreativeCapApp: sydney: at least 5 years of art related experience. we want to know that you are a practicing artist.

sydneycooper@mac.com: you have a resume section and a work experience section-redundant?

CreativeCapApp:
sydney: resume section is broken down into parts including employment (whatever that might be is ok, altho emphasize on art is nice if possible) and public presentation (art-related shows, etc.)

Zeppobank: I am planning on exhibiting a preliminary version of PHASE 1 (of 2) of my project before Jan 2008. I figure this shows venue support and allows for visual examples in the application due in June. Does this sound fair?

AskSeanAtCC: zeppobank - Maybe. The project must not premiere before Sept 2008.

Cevicheinmytummy: if one got $10,000 from CC, yet the work of the project sold for $5000; would the loan be forgiven? is the loan ever forgiven?

CreativeCapApp: we do not give a loan. We do give a grant that invests in your project and ask for to share in your profits if you have them. In order to establish a breakeven point, we would work with you to create a thorough budget. You only payback if you are profitable and profitability is not a criteria for getting a grant.

Helennium: My project involves using photography and digital technology to create sculpture as an end product, and part of the originality is the way I use those tools to create it. Is that Sculpture or Interdisciplinary?

CreativeAppEntry: Helennium - It sounds like sculpture.

roadrojo: I`m making bamboo Lamps is this contemporary craft?
CreativeCapApp: roadrojo: if you can make a convincing argument, it could be.

AvivaGhos: In the narrative bio, should we reference any specifics, as publications or shows?

CreativeCapApp: aviva, yes you can if you have enough space given the word count.

GoMudPies: re: institutional/community reference...I am in research and development stages of potential collaborations. I am investigating possibilities of being artist-in-residence during part of my artistic process..is this ok?

CreativeAppEntry: GoMudPies - Yes, that is OK

sandramgray@earthlink.net:
Does an illustrated book qualify for this grant?

CreativeCapApp: sandramgray: it can.

sandramgray@earthlink.net: The book would be an 80 pages with illustrations aimed at upper elementary and middle school. Is this good for this year's competition or is it literature?

CreativeCapApp: sandramgray: sorry, we do not fund educational projects.

Kvpetley: Since the first funding phase is for $10,000 Should we limit our budget on the Inquiry Phase to this first $10,000 increment or should we include the total amount that the Project requires?

CreativeCapApp: kvpetley: your budget number should reflect reality not our grant amount.

JPaperPark:
should the bibliography, awards and honors be written as exposition or as specific line items with date, presenter, location etc.?

AskSeanAtCC: JPaperPark: Line Items as you would in a resume.

JFILER04: We have an interdisciplinary company; dance, film, theater etc. Can we apply for only the film entity as long as the film entity can stand on its own and that we plan on presenting it alone as well as with the other disciplines mentioned? The director of the overall company will be collaborating with 2 film artists/videogrpahers

CreativeCapApp:
jfiler04: yes.

gsale@azarts.gov: will apply in visual, less clear if interdiscplinary or public art. I am known for text-based pieces and community-based performance. My proposal blends these two in a temporary public art project?

AskSeanAtCC: gsale@azarts.gov: Apply in the category in which you feel most comfortable, but I would lean towards public art.

laceyalexsch: re: work experience- can it be broken out and does arts-related have to relate to the category you are applying for

CreativeCapApp:
laceyalexsch: yes to both.

Helenhiebert: My work is process oriented (an intimate, examination of the organic, non-static qualities of paper). I am making a film and mounting an exhibition. I think I would be most competitive in Visual Arts: Interdisciplinary. Sound ok?

AskSeanAtCC: helenhiebert: Yes.

weamnamou: I've been writing for 17 years, but have expanded my work to film for the past three years - does that qualify for 5 years experience?

CreativeCapApp:
weamnamou: yes, you may apply.

weiderbot: Can the project have already started?

AskSeanAtCC: weiderbot - Yes, but it must not "premiere" before Sept 2008.

deanrenson:
Curious to know what constitutes "experimental documentary"...what makes the doc experimental? Treatment of subject matter? Or can it be subject matter itself? Or can this encompass any number of things?

CreativeAppEntry: deanrenson - Experimental docs are definied as "innovative in content and form"; so you need to show some innovation in both, ideally.

Gregsbeauchamp: I am 24 years old, but have had a video production company for longer than 5 years and have produced documentaries in the past, do I meet the requirements?

CreativeCapApp: gregbeauchamp: sorry, you have to be 25 years old.

musicjoe745: What kind of information do you need for the budget during this part of the process. Do you need a raw figure or more details

AskSeanAtCC: musicjoe745 - Raw figure

chimpamze@mac.com:
I am teaming with a choreographer to make a dance/animation performance. would that count as animation, interdiscy or performance?

AskSeanAtCC: chimpamze@mac.com- For this round Animation

JFILER04: Great - do I give an overview of the entire project or just the film entity? Smae question for budget

AskSeanAtCC: JFILER04- Overview

bof10023:
What kind of information does one put in the "selected bilbliography" field?

CreativeCapApp: bof10023: bib covers reviews, essays and interviews about you or your work.

kjlovas: Can I submit a budget for less than 10,000?

CreativeCapApp: kjilovas: yes, it can be under $10k

sydneycooper@mac.com:
I expect my project will travel- each venue will have its associated costs- should my budget be for the premiere event only?

AskSeanAtCC:
sydneycooper@mac.com- Budget until premiere

helenhiebert:
I have a filmmaker who will shoot and edit my film (about paper process) but she won't be involved in the exhibit. I will pay her. Should I still list her as a collaborator?

CreativeAppEntry:
helenhiebert – Unless she is a co-owner of the project, consider her a work-for-hire rather than a collaborator.

GoMudPies: for resume info/FAQ22-re past 'creative projects', would this include my own works completed while artist in residence? Architectural collaborations? self-funded new bodies of work? works created as reaction to real-life events?

CreativeCapApp:
gomudpies: yes to all.

EcclesinePatrick:
If I am commercially successful as an artist, do I have as good a chance to receive a grant as someone is not commercially successful? Thanks.

CreativeAppEntry: EcclesinePatrick - Your past success as an artist will not be a liability in your application.

GoMudPie: for resume- how far back in time ?

AskSeanAtCC:
GoMudPies - Be selective, concentrate on the last five years. But it can be for longer.

tlynngr2: in the miscellaneous section, can i add a list of the materials that i have researched to date for my project?

CreativeCapApp: tlynngr2: not necessary.

kjlovas: Am I at a disadvantage if my budget is less than 10K?

CreativeCapApp: kjlovas: no you will not be disadvantaged.

zeppobank:
in regards to my reply before... Im confused about what marks a beginning of a bigger project, vs premiere, is it subjective? (window venue)

AskSeanAtCC:
zeppobank- We want time to enter into a project. If it is too far along we can't help. So your project must premiere, that is it's first presentation, before Sept 2008

ttransverse: Could you please clarify the difference between what you want in the narrative biography vs. the resume?

CreativeAppEntry:
ttransverse - your resume needs to demonstrate 5 years art making experience; your bio should be a standard artist bio. We're just trying to get a sense of the trajectory of your career

dokumentare: I have Film Arts as my fiscal sponsor. ontact information: would the 1st part be Film Arts, the 2nd me (dob, website, age)?

CreativeCapApp: dokumentare: you must apply as an individual, not a organization or fiscal sponser

weiderbot: 'Working Artist' - if I've also been running a business at the same time, does this disqualify me? i have had work exhibited in the past.

CreativeAppEntry: weiderbot: no, it does not.

Helennium:
Do projects with firm exhibition commitments have a major advantage?

AskSeanAtCC: Helennium- No particular advantage.

JFILER04: so if I have a director (lead collaborator who is submitting) and 2 film/videogrpahers as collaborators - they all cannot have artistic fees written into the budget?

CreativeCapApp:
We expect you to pay each of them.

deanrenson:
Also, if I have a number of big name 'mentors' working with me, would they be considered "collaborators"?

CreativeAppEntry: deanrenson - Collaborators are co- creators - please see the exact definition in our guidelines

dokumentare: Regarding contact info: Film Arts is my fiscal sponsor. Would I give their contact info but then my date of birth, etc?

CreativeCapApp:
dokumentare: you must apply as an individual artist.

musicjoe745: My idea consists of a video performance system that would be used to create a series of live video works. As a work itself it could be many different video pieces after the video system is developed. Would this be appropriate or should I focus my description on developing a piece of work.

CreativeCapApp: musicjoe: it should be a particular and defined art project not a system.
roadrojo: Once we should submit pictures about our project?

AskSeanAtCC: roadrojo- Not until second phase.

Helennium: How likely is it that the reference will be contacted?

CreativeAppEntry: Helennium - It happens, but infrequently.

GoMudPies: re budget: are you looking for estimated total?

CreativeCapApp:
gomudpies: yes, an estimated total.

morgandews:
could my professional reference end up being my executive producer?

CreativeAppEntry: morgandews - Yes, but preferably not.

AvivaGhos: How specific should we get in our project description?

CreativeCapApp: aviva: as specific as you can within the allotted word count.

Kjlovas: my project will result in an installation, but it will be created on site via my performance. Is my category installation or interdisciplinary?

AskSeanAtCC: kjlovas - Installation

GoMudPies:
is bio part of requested info for individual applicants or for individuals in a collaborative????

CreativeCapApp: Both the main contact and collaborators should provide short bios.

Dokumentare: Would my fiscal sponsor be my collaborator? Or, how else would I mention my fiscal sponsor?

CreativeAppEntry: dokumentare - Fiscal sponsor isn't a collaborator - please check the guidelines.

Biglar678: Can a body of work be considered a project?

CreativeCapApp: biglar678: yes.

Morgandews: is a meandering career path in the arts going to hurt me? (writing, installation, music, theatre, film)

CreativeAppEntry: morgandews - Certainly not.

zeppobank: did you mean MUSNT premiere? If I delay the venue but document examples is that better? When can the earliest example of a moving art exhibit happen.... one that would evolve and develop as partnership with CC allows?

CreativeCapApp:
zeppobank: your project cannot premiere in final form before sept 2008. you may have work-in-progress showings before then as part of your production.

Helennium:
I've read info on your site about paying yourself as part of the budget. But you probably won't provide 100% of the funds I'll need. In other words, I may need to "pay myself" with my own money. Include a figure anyway?

AskSeanAtCC:
Helennium We want you to include an artist fee as part of your budget, yes. We expect you to seek other sources of funding in addition to us.

weiderbot: can you define 'too far long?' with regards to not being able to get involved with a project?

CreativeCapApp: weirderbot: if it premieres too early (i.e. before 908) we cannot offer our best services to the project.

GoMudPies: uh oh, can you define what you are looking for in 'standard artist bio'? is this a narrative of the items in resume?

AskSeanAtCC: GoMudPies- Yes, a short narrative of your life

morgandews:
can we participate in some workshops without being given grants?

CreativeAppEntry:
morgandews – yes, the professional development program is open to non-grantees

ochtendprikkels: If a possible venue for my project is a public outdoor screen and the main subject matter of my project involves filming a public space - is this a film/video or public art category? I work as an installation artist.

CreativeCapApp:
ochtendprikkels: apply in the category in which you are best know: film (you've shown in film fest/venues mostly) or visual arts (galleries/museums).

Biglar678:
If we go over word count, will our entry be cut off in a way we can see on the application before we send it in?

CreativeAppEntry: Biglar678: It will not allow you to save a page if you're over the word count.

sydneycooper@mac.com: my project is facilitating public performance in an architectural space I make within a venue..ideas as to category?

AskSeanAtCC: sydneycooper- Installation, I'd guess

dokumentare: My project involves documentary video since 2002. Before that, it was collecting interviews. Could this be eligible? The funding request is about a feature documentary from all the videos and interviews. Thanks

AskSeanAtCC:
dokumentare - Yes

Zeppobank:
the budget requires a single quote. Can this vary from the detailed budget later? Im concerned about changes as things evolve.... should I focus on initial projections or grander future projections?

CreativeCapApp: zeppobank: Yes, it can evolve.

AvivaGhos: If my project overlaps experimental electronics-new media but installation will be the final form, inc projections, is that still visual?

CreativeAppEntry: AvivaGhos - Yes.

JPaperPark: Please present some uses for Miscellaneous

CreativeAppEntry:
JPaperPark - It is not a required field.

v77maro: do you allow for an early submission of the first part of the application, or everything needs to happen on March 5th? I am concerned about the ability of servers to handle the influx of information.
CreativeCapApp: you may submit your inquiry anytime between now and March 5/.

JFILER04:
so if I have a director (lead collaborator who is submitting) and 2 film/videographers as collaborators - they all can not have artistic fees written into the budget? That would be "work for hire"?

CreativeAppEntry: JFILER04 - Yes, work for hire fees should be in the budget.

JFILER04: ok, so work for hire fees are ok??

AskSeanAtCC:
JFILER04- Yes

Helennium: Whoa. Didn't realize that about the word count! So we have to do character counts and figure that anything going over 800 characters will be cut off if it says "100 words"? Where did I miss reading that in the guidelines?

CreativeCapApp:
helennium: don't worry, our formula works pretty well. just do a word count.

Morgandews:
is there somewhere online we could see an example of the sort of resume/artist's bio you are looking for?

CreativeCapApp: morganandrews: sorry we do not provide that since that is specific to each person.

helenhiebert: I didn't get an answer. My filmmaker will shoot and edit a film about my process-oriented work in handmade paper. I will also mount an exhibition of the art created during that process. Should I list the filmmaker as a collaborator?

CreativeAppEntry:
helenhiebert: That doesn't sound like a collaboration to me.

chimpamze@mac.com: What If I am known as a works on paper/painting person but my project involves an animation performance, please advise.

AskSeanAtCC: chimpamze@mac.com - Tell how your previous work informs the new work, how is it related.

EcclesinePatrick: My project is half way through completion. I have a total budget of $350,000 and I have already put in $100,000 in personal resources. Do I list my project budget at $350,000 and my amount raised through confirmed sources at O?

CreativeCapApp: ecclesine: yes, at this stage the budget is not the main focus of the evaluation. in the next stage, you would itemize and include your $100k.

AvivaGhos: If my best known field is outdoor work-conceptual: ecological art. Will visual people accept that and what if research is a major component? Should the decription be focused exclusively to the final museum aspect?

CreativeAppEntry: AvivaGhos: Outdoor conceptual work will certainly be considered by the panel

dokumentare: Sorry, where can I find the best definition re: institution or community-based collaboration? I didn't find it yet. I am supported by a community group, but not financially. But they helped me find participants.

CreativeCapApp: dokumentare: a community-based project is reliant and encompassing of a community element. we want to know that you have or are seeking a connection to that community, thus the requirment of a reference.

morgandews: Will I be at a disadvantage not having raised any money?

AskSeanAtCC: morgandews- No, it's so early in the development of the project, we know you won't have all the funding in place

Helennium: The title -- should it be very straightforward, e.g. "Series of Sculptures" or more poetic or "catchy" like the titles of projects by past grantees on the web site.

CreativeAppEntry: Helennium - That's up to you and will have no bearing on your award status.

chimpamze@mac.com: I am a visual artist, I have been teaming up with a choreographer we are working on a combination of his dance and an animation of my drawing/painting/print work.

CreativeAppEntr): chimpamze@mac.com - Whichever you think is the primary discipline - we are definitely open to multidisciplinary work - you just need to be clear in your application.

v77maro: DEADLINE: Can the first part of the application be submitted before March 5th; concerned about the influx and the stress on the servers if we need to submit only on March 5th

CreativeCapApp:
v77maro: you can certainly submit before the 5th, many people already have!

EcclesinePatrick: The biography I wrote gives off quite a bit of personality. Is it better to be straightforward and to the point, aka DRY?

AskSeanAtCC:
EcclesinePatrick- Either is fine, just make it accurate, and clear.

cevicheinmytummy: the second part of a project, ideally funded by CC, can 'add on' to the first part that i created on my own (although does not have to and is new work and would be a ‘premiere' yet. if they are exhibited together, is it considered a premiere if the first phase has been shown once?
v AskSeanAtCC: cevicheinmytummy If it is the first time for the combined piece, then yes, it can be considered as a premiere.

dkadirbeyoglu@mac.com: do you not wish to see images/sketches of the piece we would like to submit for this proposal in the first round?

CreativeAppEntry: dkadirbeyoglu@mac.com - The Letter of Inquiry phase does not include work samples or images

sandramgray@earthlink.net:
Are all children's books educational? Would an adult book qualify?

CreativeAppEntry: sandramgray@earthlink.net - If a children's book fulfilled our interest in work that is innovative in content and form it will be considered.

zeppobank:
regarding question about budget; can the flat number stated now differ from the detailed on in June? Things will evolve.... can I be penalized?

AskSeanAtCC: zeppobank- Yes, you can change, but you may be expected to explain why if the change is drastic.

chimpamze@mac.com: I'm not sure there is a 'primary' discipline, it's a pure hybrid. That's why i'm having trouble figuring out where this fits.

CreativeCapApp:
chimpanzee: apply in the catergory in which you are best known: film or visual arts. the sub-discipline does not matter as much. just choose what seems best to you.

Helennium:
Do the reviewers at this phase see our names, locations, birth dates and other personal info? Or just the details pertaining to the project?

AskSeanAtCC:
Helennium - They see it all

zeppobank:
I currently work from home, can I include a studio rental in my budget?

CreativeCapApp:
zeppobank: yes, you may

filmboy19: I read that salaries shouldn't be more than 15-20% of a budget -- making a documentary, is paying a transcriber, and editor considered part of the "salary" portion, or does it refer specifically to the artist making the project?

CreativeCapApp: filmboy19: this refers to your salary.

GoMudPies: my project involves creating a new body of work that is conceptually and visually realted to a body of work completed while i lived in London. The new work will be a jump in scale and will reflect other changes . is this ok?

AskSeanAtCC: GoMudPies- Absolutely

matthewjasonmoore@mac.com:
do land based works, documented mostly by air, fall into the "other" category?

CreativeCapApp: matthew: sure, that works. Basically, whatever you feel is the best category within visual arts is ok with us.

Zeppobank: Are some areas more competitive than other... ie if I apply in Installation Im concerned there will be a bigger demographic than sculpture......... or is it only about being routed to the right judges?

AskSeanAtCC: zeppobank - It's more about the particular readers. It helps us organize things.

AvivaGhos: In originality section, should we reference & compare work of colleagues?

CreativeAppEntry: AvivaGhos - Yes, you should give context to your case for originality.

Morgandews: for bibliography, I hate reviews and don't save them. Is this a big oops?

CreativeAppEntry: morgandews - Just include what you have. In the future, you might want to save them.

GoMudPies: great! and is it also ok that I now have no image of what the finished new works will actually look like? only a sea of possibilities to explore??

AskSeanAtCC: GoMudPies - Yes. We understand that you can't show what you haven't done.

susankingsley1@mac.com: Our collaborative has begun research for a project which at this point we are funding ourselves. Can we list this in our budget and get reimbursed retroactively for our costs (should we be be accepted into the program)?

CreativeCapApp: susanking: not really, we'll fund things moving forward from the time of grant award.
Biglar678: Part of my use for the grant would be to take off from work to allow more time to work on my project. Should rent and bills be itemized in the budget or just factored into the anmount of my proposed artist's fee?!

AskSeanAtCC: Biglar678 - You can include costs of replacing yourself at work, babysitting, and rent / bills as they pertain to your workspace/studio

GoMudPies: chuckle, thanks. and re: bibliography, I am assuming you want listing of articles rather than actual articles, yes?

CreativeCapApp: gomudpies: correct.

Ochtendprikkels: My bibliography is in Dutch. Should I translate titles?

AskSeanAtCC: ochtendprikkels - Yes, please

AnilaAlba: I find it difficult to answer to the question of Which audiences are you hoping to reach with your work and how might you reach them?

CreativeCapApp: anitaalba: please give it your best shot. we want to know who you envision reaching with your work.

Helennium: How many people will be selected in Visual Arts to go to the next round?

AskSeanAtCC: Helennium - 300 proposals

susankingsley1@mac.com: If a collaborative group is funded, (there are four of us), can we all attend the workshops?

CreativeAppEntry: susankingsley1@mac.com - Yes all collaboration members may attend.

sydneycooper@mac.com: again, what is the difference between employment and public presentations of work?-

CreativeCapApp: sydney: employment might be your gig as a professor or artists assistant or something non-art related. public presentation is art-related exhibitions, film fests, etc.

zeppoban: In the resume where do you fill in completion dates of previous work?

CreativeAppEntry: zeppobank (4:50:36 PM): List them and include the dates in the public presentations, or if that doesn't apply, use "miscelaneous".

matthewjasonmoore@mac.com: how do you feel about an artist exploring new territory, ( i.e. redesigning the produce section of a grocery store), even though a project in the same vein of past successful work would be, for lack of a better word, expected...

AskSeanAtCC: matthewjasonmoore- I'm not sure. You'd have to make your case.

GoMudPies: can you say anything more about 'potential impact'. is there anything you can add to clarify?

CreativeCapApp: gomudpies: how would you like your project to make an impact in the world, be it artistic, community, educational, etc. dream a little.

tlkonechne: i have various projects that i am working on, in doc film, installation and performance, but i don't know which to focus on to apply for - all are equally compelling on some level - suggestions?

CreativeAppEntry: tlkonechne - We are funding Film and Visual Arts this round - if you intend to apply this cycle, choose one of those projects.

zeppobank: how detailed should employment be? ie unrelated jobs..... and how do I describe self employment as an artist?

AskSeanAtCC: zeppobank- Unrelated jobs can be grouped together, and you can simply say that you were making your living as an artist during a certain period.

GoMudPies: you elicit another chuckle! thanks . ALSO what might be included in miscelaneous - in resume?

CreativeCapApp: gomudpies: misc is not required, but if you have extraneous things this is where it goes.

sandramgray@earthlink.net:
I am a painter. How high tech should the project be? Has anyone ever been funded in the category of contemporary crafts?

CreativeCapApp: sandramgray: as long as you are pushing yourself and your artform, you can certainly apply with a painting project. And yes, we have funded contemporary craft makers such as Xenobia Bailey.

AvivaGhos: is a dvd a form of film-visual?

AskSeanAtCC:
AvivaGhos - Explain?

AvivaGhos: creating a dvd for projection rather than a film, using sound & visuals

AskSeanAtCC: AvivaGhos- If I understand, it sounds as if you are using the DVD as a visual media- Visual Art

tlkonechne:
i'm sorry, i just was able to join, - can i write an inquiry for more than one project?

CreativeAppEntry: tlkonechne - Only one project.

tlynngr2: how much room are we really alloted for the work resume portion?

CreativeCapApp: tlynngr: we have no word count in that section, but we pls be selective and focus on the last 5 years mostly.

Zeppobank: Is installation more competitive in applicants or just more succesful in awarded projects? Im concerened if I apply in Installation I will be bunched with a much larger group than say Sculpture..... a little paranoid yes.

CreativeCapApp: zeppo: pls apply where your work fits best.

Helennium: Resume: when you say focus on last 5 yrs should we also include highlights from beginning of career to present to show a sustained career? Or are you most interested in recent past and don't care about shows in 1980s?

CreativeCapApp: helenium: yes, pls do!

Kareemaji: I've been in academia--the film world but have not shown video work in a while should i apply if my project is, as i think interesting?

CreativeAppEntry: Kareemaji: Definitely

Kareemaji: So how should i position myself in terms of request for venue and latest exhibitions of video work? should i emphasize the showing of their work that i contributed to?
CreativeCapApp: kareem: if you were a collaborator and generative artist, that is fine.

Kareemaji: I have worked on other video projects bought by moma and with lots of showings should i emphasize that?

AskSeanAtCC:
Kareemaji - Yes

trippplej3: I am interested in developing my visual work on a larger scale for exhibition is that legitimate for applying.I have no gallery affiliation at the moment

AskSeanAtCC:
trippplej3 - That's ok

susankingsley1@mac.com: Is an applicant's age a consideration? Say, if the person is over 60?

AskSeanAtCC: susankingsley1- Age is not a disadvantage.

CreativeCapApp:
Thank you for participating and good luck!
